Parent Involvement

Parental involvement is crucial to your child’s success in therapy, and we encourage your active participation. However, it’s equally important for your child to feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings without worrying about what you might think. To strike a balance, we’ll schedule a combination of joint and separate sessions throughout treatment.
Our first session will be a joint meeting to discuss your child’s history, set goals, and establish a collaborative approach. Moving forward, depending on the treatment, we will schedule regular monthly meetings (at minimum) to update you on your child’s progress, discuss ways to support them at home, and address any questions or concerns you may have. These meetings may or may not include your child.
Additionally, we offer supplemental parent-coaching sessions to help you develop skills, gain insights, and enhance your self-awareness. You may be asked to participate in a combined or separate session while in treatment. This investment in your own growth will positively impact the entire family system, ultimately benefiting your child’s well-being and treatment outcomes. By working together, we can create a supportive environment that fosters healthy relationships and promotes lasting change.
